the sun ablazing, the glitter geysers soaring we
hobbled and sashayed our rag-tag entourage
across the tracks and to down Ye Olde Friendly Bar
to meet up with the Krewe of Saint Anne..

my life is black and white in comparison, and I live in new orleans. there is nothing like angeliska's entourage (except maybe in singular fragments scattered far and wide- she's got the best consortium in a single geographic location and the pictures to prove it! lucky it was once here! not to insult the defiant peacocks that remain- it's my own fault for living like a pigeon, hmm?)

Does Mardi Gras simply make EVERYONE beautiful? Really it is astounding. I see this and I want to share in the celebration that is so obviously NOT what is commonly portrayed and so deeply set in tradition and hushed secrets. Sadly, I fear we, most of us, have missed an era, but fortune definately looks on the future, that is evident.
